Wedding Photography
Your story. Your people. Your adventure.
Your wedding day isn't a photoshoot.
It's the nervous excitement before the ceremony. The squeeze of a hand. The tears your mum swore she wouldn't cry. The terrible dance moves, the belly laughs, the windswept hair, and the quiet moments in between.
It's your story.
Choosing a photographer can feel overwhelming. You're not just choosing someone to take photos. You're choosing someone who'll spend one of the biggest days of your life right beside you, documenting the moments you'll want to relive for years to come.
My approach is relaxed, candid, and documentary-driven. I'll guide you when needed, but I'm far more interested in genuine connection than perfectly posed photos. Most couples tell me they're nervous about being in front of the camera. Almost all of them leave saying it was one of the most enjoyable and unexpected parts of the day.
I want your wedding photography experience to feel less like a photoshoot and more like an adventure. Whether that's standing on a mountain top, wandering along a windswept beach, or simply celebrating with the people you love most, my goal is to help you be yourselves and create images that feel authentically you.
Have a look through some of the stories below and imagine what your own could look like.

FAQ
We are awkward in front of the camera. Can you help?
You are not the only ones.
For most couples, this is the first time they've ever been in front of a camera like this, and honestly, feeling a little awkward is completely normal.
I'm a narrative-based, documentary-style photographer. That doesn't mean I simply stand back and document whatever happens during the day. We create opportunities for genuine moments to unfold.
So yes, while I'll capture the emotion of your ceremony, the tears, hugs, and all the moments in between, when we disappear off for photos, I won't have you standing stiffly and smiling at the camera for hours. Instead, I'll get you doing things together. That might mean dragging him down the beach, pinching her bum, whispering something that'll make you both laugh, or simply taking a moment to soak it all in. I'll be constantly chasing beautiful light and gently guiding you towards it, but the focus is always on connection, not perfection.
I often say that emotion trumps perfection. The photos couples fall in love with are rarely the perfectly posed ones. They're the real ones. The laughter, the movement, the way you look at each other when you forget the camera is there.
So please don't worry about being awkward. You're already going to look a million dollars. My job is simply to help you relax, have some fun, and create the space for those genuine moments to happen.
What are your travel costs?
Whether it’s hopping on a plane to come and meet you at the base of your favourite mountain, or jumping in a car to explore somewhere that plays a crucial part of your life story, I love a new adventure. If you’d like to scheme an adventure closer to me, I’ll take the trip for free within 50km for an Essentials or higher package, or 25km for free for an engagement or simplicity session.
If we're venturing a little further afield, I'll provide a custom quote before you book so there are no surprises.
As a guide, travel costs may include:
- $1.65/km for travel by car (including travel time)
- Accommodation where an overnight stay is required
- Meals while travelling
- Return economy flights where applicable
- Rental vehicle and fuel costs
- Additional travel days for more remote locations
My goal is always to keep travel as straightforward and cost-effective as possible, while making sure we can create something incredible in a location that's meaningful to you.
What happens if you're sick?
It's a fair question, and one worth asking.
When you book with me, you'll receive a contract that outlines all the important details, including responsibilities, costs, copyright, cancellations, and contingency plans should the unexpected happen.
While I've never missed a wedding, life can occasionally throw a curveball. In the unlikely event that I am unable to photograph your day due to illness, injury, or another genuine emergency, I have a trusted network of experienced associate photographers who can step in and ensure your day is still beautifully documented.
Where possible, I will remain involved behind the scenes and personally edit your images, so the final gallery retains the look and feel that drew you to my work in the first place.
It's raining. What do we do?
Good.
Well, maybe not good if you've spent the last six months hoping for blue skies, but from a photography perspective, rain isn't something to fear.
We often think sunshine creates the best wedding photos, but some of the most memorable images can be in wild weather. Rain brings mood, atmosphere, drama, and a sense of adventure that simply can't be recreated on a perfect day.
Of course, we'll be practical. We can find sheltered locations, adjust plans if needed, and keep everyone comfortable. Sometimes we'll duck under a veranda, find a beautiful indoor space, or wait for a break in the weather. But yes, I also hope you'll grab an umbrella (I have 6) and head right back to the spot we planned on visiting in the first place.
My biggest piece of advice? Embrace it.
Your wedding day isn't meant to look like somebody else's. It's meant to look like yours. Years from now, you won't remember the weather forecast. You'll remember laughing together under an umbrella, running through the drizzle, or standing on a windswept hillside wondering if your hair would ever recover.
Those moments become part of the story.
So don't fear the rain. Bring your sense of adventure, trust the process, and let's create something uniquely yours.
What is the booking process?
1. Let's Meet
You've had a look through my website, browsed the pricing guide, and hopefully by now have a feel for the way I tell stories.
The next step is simply to get in touch. Ask as many questions as you like. Tell me about your plans, your venue, or that wild idea you're not sure will work.
If you'd like, we can catch up over coffee or jump on a video call. I genuinely love meeting my couples before they book. It's a chance for you to get to know me, ask anything that's on your mind, and work out whether I'm the right person to tell your story.
If you decide you'd like me along for the adventure, I'll send through a contract and invoice. A 25% non-refundable booking fee secures your date in my calendar.
What happens next?
2. Create
As your wedding day approaches, I'll send through a questionnaire to gather all the important details. We'll chat about timelines, family photos, locations, and the moments that matter most to you.
The remaining balance is due seven days before your wedding, and then all that's left to do is get married.
On the day itself, I'll be there to document the laughter, happy tears, epic scenery, questionable dance moves, and all the little moments in between.
How do you deliver the photos and how long does it take?
3. Deliver
Then the magic happens behind the scenes.
I'll carefully curate and edit your gallery, bringing together the moments, emotions, and details that made your day uniquely yours.
Within around four - six weeks, you'll receive your own online gallery where you can snuggle up on the couch, and relive the day all over again. After that of course, you can download your images, share them with family and friends, and order professional prints if you'd like.
While every couple receives a digital gallery, I also work with a studio that designs custom wedding magazines and heirloom albums that tell the story of your day from beginning to end. There's something pretty special about curling up on the couch years from now and turning real pages together. If that's something you'd love, I can show you who I work with and discuss pricing.
Why should we choose you?
That's a big question.
The truth is, there are a lot of talented photographers out there. You deserve to find someone whose work you love, whose approach suits you, and who feels like the right fit for your day.
Here's what I bring to the table.
Experience
Photography has taken me into all sorts of situations over the years, from commercial and branding work to events, families, weddings, headshots, and everything in between.
Working across different genres has taught me to adapt quickly, connect with people from all walks of life, and confidently handle whatever a wedding day throws at us. Whether it's changing weather, a tight timeline, or unexpected moments, experience has taught me to stay calm and keep creating.
A Down-to-Earth Approach
This may be the biggest one.
I genuinely want you to enjoy being photographed.
You won't find me obsessing over perfect poses or turning your wedding into a day-long photoshoot. Instead, I'll guide you when needed, create opportunities for genuine moments, and encourage you to be yourselves. My goal isn't just to deliver beautiful photographs. It's to have you walk away thinking, "That was actually fun."
People First
Photography is about people, and people are what interest me most.
I grew up on a farm, have worked as an emergency nurse, travelled extensively, lived overseas, and now spend my days juggling life as a wife, mum, business owner, and photographer.
Those experiences have taught me how to connect with people, read situations, stay calm under pressure, and understand that every person and every story is different.
